Biosonics DTX Scientific Echosounder
We own and operate a Biosonics DTX Split-beam Echosounder with a 200kHz Transducer. The transducer is often pole-mounted over the side of a survey vessel allowing for easier and opportunistic deployments. Each ping of the echosounder has associated geographic coordinates due to the integrated GPS, allowing for accurate mapping of the data.
Software
Collecting the data is just the start of a hydroacoustic project and the data processing and analyses require powerful software. We use the industry standard "SONAR5-Pro" and "Echoview" software packages for these purposes and are highly experienced users of both.
